You
see? First bar, that I was referred to as a recommended bar, carries ‘‘ Café ‘‘ in its name. This place is a
perfect example of a place, where You can experience a typical spanish way of
going out for a drink. It is not a classic café, it is not a cocktail bar. It
is more a pub, than anything else. You will meet almost no tourists and this
place is completely packed with spanish people that are comming here to meet
their friends.
People
are drinking mostly bottled beer, wine or simple mixes such as gin and tonic.
The design is not worth mentioning, but this is not a fancy place to go out. It
is meant to be simple, cheap and easy to reach. And it serves its purpose
perfectly. They play only a spanish music here too and that completely
underlines the autenthic atmposhere of a typical spanish pub. As I was here alone, I felt like a complete
stranger. Like I don’t belong here - especially when almost every single person
inside the bar starts to sing lyrics of a spanish song which is comming out of
the speakers…
While
people around me where still singing the song, I guiltily finished my gin and
tonic and I left. Since it was getting very late and I had no idea where I am,
it was enough for now. Since I lost a lot of time today, my second day will be
much more busy, as I still want to visit more of the city itself and hopefully,
another 3 bars.
