It
was just a few steps from the Barcode to enter this Irish pub. It has been
rated by my multiple sources as high as Barcode itself, it was close and I was
curious to experience my 5th and last cocktail in Valencia.
Yes,
it was Mojito again. This time however, I was very eager to try something else.
After I sat down on the bar, Barmaid asked me, what I would like to drink. I
didn’t know exactly what, so I asked for a menu and her reply was : ,,UFFFFAAAA
…ERMMM… Mojito, Pina Colada or Caipirinha.‘‘ That was not a suggestion, that
was her ultimate answer, like if there woudn’t be anything else. I understand –
again – it’s Falles and it’s late. I understand, that You are tired and You
want to go home. But I am going to stay there - as a guest - the same amount of
time, wether You will offer me the menu or not, and You will stay there - as a
bartender - until your closing hour, wether You show me the menu or not, too.
Bartender makes the bar. Always. If the bar is a good looking place, but the
barmaid shows off, that it’s a physical pain for her to accept a new guest, do
You really think, that I would consider this place recommendable?
I am
talking about a menu, which was half way in between me and this barmaid. I
could take it by myself, but I just wanted to be polite and I asked…
The
quality of the actual Mojito, that I’ve got here was very close to the one in
Barcode. The only difference is, that in Barcode, there was 145 (+/-) people
inside the bar. Here there was around 25 people and 3 girls, that were sitting
on the table right behind me, were sleeping.
It
was pitty. I didn’t see such a good looking Irish pub for a very long time. But
the actual taste of the Mojito was exactly representing the attitude of my
barmaid…
