The Black Angels, Prague

The Black Angels

The most beautiful bar with an incredible location, even better cocktails and atmosphere is my most favourite bar of all times, from the entire europe for many reasons :

First of all - The desing of the bar is simply genious. It is so beautiful, that I still remember how I've got intimidated, when I entered this bar for my very first time.

Second of all, it is very stylish. With the way, the bartenders are dressed and the music, it is perfect.

Third of all, it belongs to the same category as the very famous Artesian bar and it is even on a better location than the london bar (related to the distance between the location of the bar and the city center) and it is way cheaper, than the Artesian….
Yeah, right. London is bigger than Prague and Czech republic is much cheaper place for living than England, but this is irrelevant. You are tourists and You don't care about living expenses in both countries. And if You compare the prices in the Black Angels with just any other bar in the Prague, you will see that it is more/less the same everywhere. The difference between The Black Angels and the rest of bars in Prague is, that here they are fully comparable with the Artesian Bar by the quality itself! If You are going to Prague, You will be going to the Old Town Square anyway. This bar is just in front of the very famous Astronomical Clock . This bar is a ''must see, must be!'' So as You will get here, try their version of Pina Colada.

Pina Colada by the Black Angels Bar

Rum Jerry Sailor

Malibu

Havana Club 3 years old

Fresh pineapple juice

Coconut syrup

Salt

If You stand for the the rule : ´´ Only the fresh pina colada is the best pina colada´´ get ready to shake this cliche off. Well, of course it is a matter of presonal prefferences, but Pina Colada inside an actual pineapple with fresh coconut milk is very rare on the bars due to high expenses as it is not storable. This recipe is a little bit stronger version of pina colada and in its preparation it will get shaken 2x. First is a ´´dry shake´´ of all the ingredients together except of the salt.

,,You can use salt for two different purposes,´´ explained me bartender, when I encountered this recipe for the first time, long time ago….: ,,You can use it, if You want to make some food more salty, but You can also use it to this cocktail, as it connects the different layers of the taste together, if You will use the correct amount.´´

In one sentense : this is the best Pina Colada i have ever tried. Jerry Sailor is my most favourite rum, and Pina Colada is one of my most favourite cocktails. Naturally, I could not resist such a combination. I've tried countless amount of Pina Coladas everywhere, but the only one that I will always remember is the Pina Colada by the Black Angels Bar. It is delicious and it looks great, as it is served in a tikki glass. If you want to join me in my opinion about the best Pina Coladas, do not hesistate even a second and order yours!

It broke my hearth to leave this bar and I cursed myself for the promise that I have to go to two more bars. But what I wouldn't do for you, careful and regular readers, right?
